WHAT is this woman's issue with foreign cars? SERIOUSLY? Is it really that necessary to pound the whole buy American, Volvo's are bad nonsense quite so hard? I have read 3 and a half chapters, and I cannot believe the number of times she has casually slipped in disparaging remarks about 'foreign' cars. Snark about Toyotas, snark about "stupid shiny Volvo owners". I DON'T GET IT.

Well, Volvos are clunky (a bit better now, from what I've seen, but I can't vouch for them having got rid of all that clunkiness), and Toyotas have never really impressed me, so I might have to agree with her on them thar furrin' cars.

I mean, if it's not made my Lamborghini, it barely even counts as a car... =)
